In the summer of 2021, after eleven years, I sat down with him for a difficult but necessary conversation — to finally talk about what had happened within our family.
Using archival materials such as old vacation photos, I began to reconstruct our past. Through a photo series and a video work, I created a visual diary that brings our shared memories back to life, mapping out both the absence and the bond that continues to shape us.
